Melanoma Education

2024 will see more than 200,000 new melanoma diagnoses in the United States, with over half of them being invasive. Despite recent and revolutionary treatment advances, melanoma is unique in that the number of new diagnoses continues to increase every year. This increase, particularly for a preventable cancer, emphasizes the need for increased efforts in awareness and prevention education.

The primary purpose of Connect Melanoma is to provide melanoma awareness and sun safety education, via both in-person and virtual instruction. If your company or organization wishes to incorporate our instruction into your health and wellness programming, please contact robyn@connectmelanoma.org to see what Connect can do for you.

Our curriculum is tailored to deliver basic information about melanoma and other skin cancers, and offer sun safety practices to virtually any audience in about an hour, allowing ample time at the end for a Q&A session if needed.

It is our experience that in-person instruction is the most impactful and effective method for raising awareness and teaching prevention. Feedback from our training often includes very positive comments where attendees are not only informed, but also highly motivated to share the information and adopt the sun safety practices they have learned.
